Infant Programs
Our infant program is designed for children 6 weeks to 11 months old.
Are you feeling anxious about leaving your infant in someone else’s hands? You’re not alone. Did you know that leaving your baby with high-quality caregivers has a positive impact – socially, emotionally, and cognitively? Here at ABC Child Development and Bright School-Age Centers, we take pride in providing an atmosphere that mimics the comfort of home while you are away.
What can you expect when we care for your infant?
A soothing environment
We know how easy it is for infants to become overwhelmed, so we aim to provide an environment that isn’t too bright, is clean and uncluttered, and limits recorded music being played, to not overwhelm your infant.
Defined areas
You will notice our infant rooms are divided into separate areas that are meant to be tailored to different parts of your infant’s day. Areas for eating, sleeping, playing, and changing diapers are all strategically arranged to provide seamless transitions from one activity to the next. Defined areas also help us to ensure everyone stays clean and safe, and to allow all infants to develop a schedule that best fits their individual needs.
Secure open spaces
Whether indoors or outdoors, we know that babies need a space to move to strengthen their muscles. Our secure open spaces allow infants to explore toys and objects that are of interest to them, without being restricted in a device or carrier.
Personal touches
Upon enrollment, our Infant Nursery Supervisor will work with your family to add some personal touches, such as family photos, to make the environment feel more like home. In addition, we lean into our partnerships with parents to help learn what works best for your child in regards to feeding, sleeping, etc. so we can keep it consistent while they are in our care.
Meals, snacks, free lunch, and free wipes are included.
Developmentally appropriate materials
From unbreakable wall mirrors low enough for infants to look at themselves, to bright squishy blocks within reach on low shelves, we carefully design our infant rooms to provide materials that will help your infant achieve developmental milestones. Our teachers participate in ongoing professional development, so they are ready to help each infant meet goals that are just right for them.
